Did you know that nearly half of all gamers in Latin America are women?

43.7% of people who play video games in the region are women, according to the 2024 PGB LATAM report. What’s more, 65.8% of the population in countries like Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and Peru plays video games, and 78.8% consider gaming one of their main forms of entertainment.

The presence of women in gaming is a growing reality, diverse, dynamic, and present in every corner of the scene: from casual play to competitive matches, from streaming to game development. Women are creating content, leading communities, designing experiences, and playing at all levels.

In the U.S., the numbers back it up too: the 2024 Entertainment Software Association (ESA) report shows that 46% of gamers in the country are women. Just another sign that gaming is a broad, shared space full of opportunities.

Spike Queens: Women’s Valorant Tournament

Since 2022, FITCHIN has been creating spaces where gaming is experienced as inclusive, fun, and free of barriers. Among more than 30 monthly tournaments with this mission, Spike Queens was born. A Valorant tournament designed as a meeting point for women who game. It might be their first step into competitive play, or a great chance to train with and against other women.

The first editions were held in collaboration with Valito, an allied community that promotes safe, inclusive, and non-toxic gaming. Since then, Spike Queens has remained the perfect excuse to connect, play, and enjoy the game together.

🗓️ The next tournament takes place on Friday, June 6, in a 5v5 format, with Battle Passes as prizes for the winning team. Join here! Plus, the final match can be freely co-streamed by any creator who wants to amplify it from their own channel.
